After eating way too much for dinner at Kuba Kuba, a favorite of mine from the days when I lived in Richmond, we walked over to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to see its collection of Faberge eggs. The museum has one of the largest collections of Faberge items outside of Russia, and amazingly it comes almost entirely from one bequest.
The early movie this evening is a three-plus-hour documentary about a prominent French filmmaker. It sounded like a snooze-fest to us, which is why we decided to visit the museum instead. There’s a thriller starting at 9:50 pm, the description of which intrigued us, if we can stay awake long enough to see it.
